A few weeks ago I did a post on the top 10 websites in South Africa, and received a few comments from people asking for top South African websites instead (the top 10 websites in the country turned out to be predominantly overseas ones; only two of them are local).
So here you go – South Africa’s top 10 local websites, according to Effective Measure’s May 2013 statistics.
1. News24 – 3.2 million unique visitors
2. Howzit.MSN – 3 million unique visitors
3. IOL – 2.3 million unique visitors
4. DStv – 1.7 million unique visitors
5. Yahoo South Africa – 1.5 million unique visitors
6. Channel 24 – 1.3 million unique visitors
7. TimesLive – 1.2 million unique visitors
8. SuperSport – 1.2 million unique visitors
9. MyBroadBand – 1.1 million unique visitors
10. Sport24 – 1 million unique visitors
