DSTV<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n We all know good ol\u2019 DStv. They have been around since 1995 growing out of the first paid television channel, M-Net which started in 1986, both running under the MultiChoice umbrella. <\/p>\n\n\n\n With many customers migrating to streaming services, they decided to make it easier for customers to stream not only Live TV but also watching on-demand series and movies that have been shown on DStv channels. This means you don\u2019t need to be at your television at home to still access your DStv. You will only find international content on Amazon Prime and you can also stream sports such as NBA, NFL and PGA games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Membership<\/a>\u00a0comes at a cost of R79\/month with a free 7-day trial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n APPLE TV+<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Apple TV<\/a> has a variety of international series, movies and documentaries for you to enjoy and is priced in Rands so you won\u2019t have to worry about those extra exchange rates and fees! <\/p>\n\n\n\n You can watch Apple TV+ from an Apple device for only R84,99 per month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n GOOGLE PLAY (ad hoc)<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Google Play<\/a> offers the option to download movies, books and music at a once-off fee each. Rates range between R10-R150 depending on the content you want to download. <\/p>\n\n\n\n VIU<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Viu is an international service that was recently launched in South Africa. What\u2019s cool about Viu is that you can get content from international channels TLC and Crime Investigation in the same place as SABC and eTV soapies like Skeem Saam, Muvhango, 7de Laan, etc. for only R69 per month.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n BRITBOX SA <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n If you\u2019d like to access a variety of British television series and movies, BritBox is the one for you! The streaming service very recently launched in South Africa so no need for a VPN or paying in a different currency. All the British drama can be at your fingertips for only R99,99 per month.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n DISNEY+<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Disney+ is a fan favourite with a myriad of Marvel, Star, National Geographic, Star Wars, Disney (obviously) and Pixar content. Whether you’re an animation fan or live-action, there are plenty of shows and movies for the whole family to enjoy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n With a mobile plan for only R59\/month or the premium package for R139\/month<\/a>, it is a great option to keep the whole family entertained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n International:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n There are many streaming services internationally that you can still try and access, for example, Hulu, WarnerMedia, Paramount, HBO, etc. However, to access these you have to install a VPN to change your computer\u2019s location to a location where the service is available and you will have to pay in US Dollars which could fluctuate depending on the exchange rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n You can download a VPN from example, 1-Grid<\/a> which offers up to 10 devices per account, military-grade encryption and no contracts to lock you down for only R179pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Other VPN’s include, Access<\/a>, ExpressVPN<\/a>, Cyber Ghost<\/a> or SurfShark<\/a>. You can use your mobile phone<\/strong> by downloading the streaming services’ app on your Google Play Store or Apple iStore. You can also stream straight from your computer <\/strong>browser or some services even have a desktop app you can download from Google Play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The best way, of course, is to view straight on your television. If you have a Smart TV <\/strong>this is fairly easy to do and you’ll probably already have some services like Netflix and Showmax, pre-loaded on your TV. If you have an old-school TV, don’t fear!
