How to stay connected this holiday, because FOMO is not an option!

Festive holidays in Mzansi hit different. It’s that glorious stretch of sunshine, braais, road trips, family chaos, soft-life plotting and TikToks that must go viral. The vibes are vibing, and the very last thing you need is your connection throwing a tantrum. No one wants buffering during the braai playlist.

The good news? Most connection hiccups are tiny wobbles that can be fixed faster than you can say, “Sho’t Left”

Here’s your quick, easy holiday survival kit for staying connected:

• Give the router a power nap
A simple restart works wonders. Switch it off, wait a few seconds, switch it back on, boom. It clears those little digital gremlins instantly.

• Do the cable wiggle
Double-check that all cables are snug and secure, from the wall to the router. Loose cables are sneakier than a seagull stealing your slap chips.

• Let your WiFi breathe
If you’re using WiFi, make sure your router isn’t hiding behind the TV or stuffed in a cupboard. It needs open space to spread its signal wings.

• Try the 1 device test
Is everything offline or just one device? If it’s only your phone or laptop acting spicy, a quick reboot or reconnect usually sorts it out.

• Double-check the bills (It happens!)
Dezemba is busy, we get it. A fast peek at your Customer Zone might save you hours of stress:

– Log in to your Customer Zone
– In the left panel select Billing
– From the Billing tab, you’ll see your current balance and any overdue amount.
– Tap “View Statement” to see your full billing history for the last 180 days.

• Check the neighbourhood vibe
Sometimes the whole area is down. A quick look at our network status page, on the top right corner of our website, will tell you if the problem is on your street, not your setup.

If you need a little extra help getting your connection back online, our friendly support team is ready on WhatsApp by messaging 021 464 9500 or Live Chat by following these steps.

– Open the Webafrica app and tap on “Live Chat” at the bottom
– Enter your mobile number and tap Submit
– Enter the 4-digit OTP sent via SMS and tap Continue to start chatting
– You’ll be connected to our friendly chatbot.
– You can type your question, or use one of the menu shortcuts provided.

Happy Festive Season, Mzansi! Stay safe, stay connected, and enjoy every unforgettable moment. 🎉🌞
