South Africans are catching up with the rest of the world (slowly but surely). The survey below, conducted in 2013, shows that – 74% of the people find it convenient to shop online, 74 % find it easy to shop online, 93 % can access the internet on their mobile phones, and only 12 % make purchases with their phones.
Some of the biggest interests were:
– 45% of items bought on mobile phones were apps
– 33% of people sought social network recommendations when buying online
– 42% of online shoppers are (still) buying books, CD’s and DVD’s.
