In a recently released update to Garry’s Mod a slight modification was made that started causing errors in certain players’ clients, making it impossible to launch the game.

The error goes along something along the lines of “Engine Error:Unable to shade polygon normals(#################)” , and those players that reported it on the Garry’s Mod forums were permanently banned. The #’s in the quote, would actually have your STEAMID reported, so a great way to check if you pirated your copy of Gmod on your STEAMID.

Garry Newman, the developer of the popular title, reportedly can be heard chuckling throughout the Internet with the amount of accounts that are being affected.

Conclusion: if you haven’t done it yet, and you play it, GO BUY IT! It’s cheap, it supports the independent developers, it’s the right thing to do! ( $9.99 is about R70 locally) And if you haven’t bought it yet, and if you like the “sandbox” genre, then give this game a go!
