Web Africa entering 2010

We’ve done it! – We’ve successfully rolled out our very own Web Africa ADSL network. Our engineers and development team are elated (though sleep deprived). Web Africa’s ADSL network comes after two years hard work and was launched during the dreaded mid December lull – with great success![...]

Creative freedom and flexibility – Our own network means freedom to create exciting packages and products for you. An example is our shared hosting packages, offering considerably more SA traffic than any other package in SA, and from just R11 per GB.

Web Africa is working furiously to have our ADSL line and reduced pricing rolled out by 1 March 2010. Our new reseller hosting utility model will follow in early April. Those of you with more advanced bandwidth needs can also look forward to a greatly improved dedicated server range, guaranteeing your needs will be met.

Web Africa: growing and growing – Our staff complement has almost doubled over the past year, from 80 to nearly 150 employees. Most of the growth has been in our support departments, which have increased by nearly 100% to better meet your needs. New departments, such as our BSD, Customer Operations and Quality Assurance, are on hand to ensure a carefree connection for you.

Together into the future – Thank you for your support while we matured as an ISP. We’re looking forward to making your Web Africa experience, a thrilling and rewarding one. Here’s to a brilliant 2010!

    Congrats all!

  • webafrica

I think I speak for us all when I say, thank you MDCore.

We look forward to delivering and making more announcements in the next few weeks/months.

From my side, I haven't felt a single service interruption. Most telecoms companies can't do that in normal day-to-day operations ;) Looking forward to the upcoming announcements.

Awesome! Great job Guys & Girls of WA, it was a very smooth ride.

Looking forward to seeing what'll happen in the coming year. Astound me please ;)

    Regards

    Great news indeed.
One question – “ADSL line and reduced pricing rolled out by 1 March 2010″
Would we be paying less for the ADSL line rental?

  • Roy Bernstein

Your service is great! Thanks. One question: I see Telkom is offering 10GB of local only on their 1GB package. As a Webafrica subscriber, do I have something similar?

  • Andrew

Yes service is great from Webafrica but where does one draw the line in price versus service. At the moment TELKOM beats WEBAFRICA with the DO packages, where for a 384kbps line and 3G international and 20G local data package will cost +-R250 compared to the R340 and no local data offered by webafrica. I will wait to see what the reduced rates are in March before making up my mind about changing
