WAGE Launch – Paintball Party
The WAGE Launch party on Saturday was a huge success, with a healthy turnout of enthusiastic gamers, all with many questions regarding WAGE. Topics such as whether or not to allow certain types of behaviour on the servers was lightly debated, accompanied by much cheering. [...]
Other topics included questions regarding FreeZone, the direction the game service WAGE is going, various needs and also what the community can expect to see in the near future.
On the Paintball field; the Red group had runners which led the battle, giving their marksman opportunities to lay cover fire, while the rest of the team progressed forward. This proved futile for the opposing team as this strategy snuck a win for the Reds. We had countless games of paintball throughout the day, with the yellow team laying down the paint with the most wins at the end. The terrain was awesome, as it had the realistic effect of FPS gaming, with areas where top level tactics could be demonstrated.
The event also included a self imposed firing squad, as well as epic feats such as players pulling off “Geronimo!” moves on the paintball field. Game play was hard, fun and fair with many causalities on the playing field. Big thanks to OC, Paint Ball Africa, and all the WAGE gamers for all the help and making the day one that won’t be forgetting. We are looking forward to seeing everyone online to compare battle wounds and kill scores. Overall it was an awesome experience that has left many requesting an annual anniversary event in the future to celebrate WAGE.

Our Facebook page has an album with all the photographic evidence from the event, so be sure to go and check it out.
