Games Master talks about FreeZone
Thank you for visiting our site! The site is just the beginning of a project that we plan to expand and develop extensively over time.
Access to our forums and game servers are free and open to the public. Web African ADSL subscribers however will have the additional benefit of taking advantage of the cap savings that FreeZone enabled services offer.
So what exactly does FreeZone mean to you as a WADSL subscriber? It’s an area within the Web Africa network where any usage generated is not deducted from your available bandwidth.[...]It’s neither local nor international, it’s just FREE! Since the gaming service was the FIRST offering to gain the benefit of FreeZone; I’ll use playing a game on our servers as an example to show how it works. I’m confident that we will see additional services gain this amazing offering from Web Africa down the line.
Let’s say you just purchased a new computer game and installed it, however you need to download around 6GB’s worth of patches and your available bandwidth on your ADSL account is around 150MB. A Web Africa customer wouldn’t need to top or buy a local account, they would simply access our media section; which is FreeZone enabled, download all the patches, install them and then connect to our WAGE servers to play. The authentication on the international server would use the smallest amount of bandwidth, however the bandwidth used for actually playing on the WAGE servers is Free. All of this means that you would still have 149MB left on your account after having used up 6GB’s or more of bandwidth through FreeZone!
Any concerns, questions or suggestions that you may have on improving this site or service, would be greatly appreciated and can be sent to my email address: gamesmaster@webafrica.co.za
See you on the battlefield!
